Academic inbreeding
Peer review is considered too much a product of inbreeding caused by mutual and reciprocal citing among authors. A typical piece of evidence for this is the sheer number of papers produced by collective MT’s on obscure GIT related topics. The way these papers are obtrusively left lying around printers and secretariats shows clearly how “publish or perish” and resulting desperation rules the higher echelons of our scientific staff.
The Rector/ Dean/Rector has ordered the Faculty Mistress to control copy behaviour according to the earlier adopted ISO certified SB standard.
