Likeabike or dislikeabike?

Don't think healthy days or green initiatives, the number of bikes available to staff (after signing two pages of regulations) will be gradually increased to the amount of maximum teaching staff per day. Starting the new course year (1st October) all classes will be taught in de Waaier. ITC building will be used only for administration, mail sorting, garden parties and as PhD research facility. Lecturers will need to submit teaching schedules for the next week every Thursday morning at the reception desk for logistical allocation of bikes. Besides single user rules there will also be a single purpose rule; meaning all staff need to report back to ITC reception first to file a new purpose of trip form before running other errands. However, iPhone users can download a special app from the iTunes store which allows to file the change of purpose online. Arbo rules however dictate this may only be done stationary.
Using the bicycles is at your own risk. Therefore all bikes will be fitted with GPS trackers. A special monitoring application is being developed by GFM students. Cyclists that are reported with average speeds over 15km/h will be required to wear helmets to reduce UT liability, cyclists unable to achieve speeds over 15km/h will be sent to training camp with the new students in September. These rules are implemented gradually. After 31 December 2011 it is however no longer allowed for lecturers to use their personal bicycles during office hours.
